About Dr. Hattaway


Dr. Don Hattaway is the Senior Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Cartersville, Georgia, a congregation of over 3,000 members. His sermons are aired on a weekly television broadcast titled “Real Peace Today” in various cities in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee. He holds degrees from Brewton-Parker College (Bachelor of Music Education) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry). He is a former Vice President of the Georgia Baptist Convention and has served as a parliamentarian for the GBC. He has also served as the Chairman of Trustees for Brewton-Parker College and as the Chairman of the Board for the Christian Index, the oldest Christian publication in America. Presently, Dr. Hattaway is a member of the Board of Trustees for Shorter University.  In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, he enjoys speaking at various revivals, conferences, seminars, and churches throughout the year.

 

Pastor Hattaway has been preaching the gospel for over 25 years, and stands firm on teaching the inerrant and infallible Word of God. He is a true believer that God’s Word changes lives. His ministry seeks to encourage and teach Christians in their daily walk with God, and lead others to experience saving faith in Jesus Christ. 

 

Dr. Hattaway has been married to his sweetheart, Sonia, for 19 years and they have 3 wonderful children, Nathan, 17, Daniel, 16, and Anna Lane, 13.
